Bill YarbroughAssistant Pastor
Bill is a native of California, he served churches in Alaska and Mexico before moving to Missouri for seminary. He holds a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Covenant Seminary in St. Louis and a certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Aquinas Institute in St. Louis. Bill is an International Director for Mission to the World, which keeps him busy pastoring and training missionaries all over the globe. When he is not traveling, he is home in Columbia where he helps love, serve, and pastor the folks at Christ Our King.
Here is what Bill says about his heart for pastoral care: “The hope and joy of pastoral care at Christ Our King is that it flows from Christ himself, the ‘Great Shepherd of the sheep” and the “founder and perfecter of our faith.’ I am so very grateful that God allows me the privilege of sharing in his passion for the Church by accompanying you on the inevitable journey of growth, intimacy, and transformation which is rooted in his loving promise to ‘bring to completion the good work that he began in you.’ I am expectant about our time together in prayer, in the Word, in the sacraments and in spiritual direction as we experience together the love of the Father, the grace of our Lord Jesus, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.”
Bill is available to meet with anyone who wants to learn more about Jesus and deepen their walk with him. You might see him meeting with folks at Starbucks on West Broadway or catching up with someone over at Bob Evans. You might also see him at Mid America Harley-Davidson where he and his wife Sue teach local folks to ride motorcycles safely.
Bill would love to meet you, hear your story, and help you on your journey.
