What We Believe

Christ Our King is a church in the Presbyterian and Reformed tradition. What this means is that we believe in the classic historical beliefs that Christianity has held throughout the ages. We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, inerrant and infallible in what it affirms and teaches. We believe that Jesus Christ is the incarnate Son of God, fully God and fully man. We believe in the Trinity, that there is one God consisting of three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who are equal in power and glory and yet one God. We believe that Christ died for sinners, of which all of us are. We believe in the free grace of God in Christ paid for on the Cross. We believe that God is calling you into a relationship with him through his Son Jesus in union with his bride, the Church. We believe in the dignity and equality of all persons in the gospel.

In our worship we routinely confess the Nicene Creed and the Apostle’s Creed, ancient statements of Christian unity and orthodoxy. As Presbyterians, we adhere to the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms.
